GE’s Super Duct HVAC smoke sensor
The Super Duct is an
excellent alternative to the bulky Duct Detectors of the past.
Its streamlined design (less than 2” deep) makes it ideal for those
tight applications. It has an operating temperature range of -20-158
degrees F (-29-70C) and with an optional water resistant gasket to
keep contaminants out environmentally harsh locations are no
problem. The housing design also incorporates standard
sampling tube spacing to provide for “drop in” migration from other
detectors.
The design also includes
some very important user and maintenance features such as on board
status (alarm, trouble, & dirty) LED’s that are visible through
the clear housing cover. The detector sensing is performed
utilizing a PC board mounted photoelectric sensing chamber (no
separate detector & base to wire, install, & secure).
The Super Duct utilizes environmental compensation with differential
sensing to prevent gradual changes that may occur due to dust or
debris from causing a false alarm. This technology although cutting
edge has been proven reliable and
stable. |
