As part of the
emphasis of being a one step solution to our customers, the
Audio-Visual group is obtaining the certification to provide
the Polycom Audio and Video Teleconferencing bridges which are
used for multipoint Hi-Res video conferencing.
With that addition of bridge networks, Casey Systems
will become a certified reseller of all Polycom
products.
This month, a few
high profile companies have been added to our list of
customers, this includes US Steel Corporation, where Casey
Systems designed and installed in their boardroom a full
projection and video-conferencing system.
In other news, the
AV group is in negotiation to secure audio and video projects
which will substantially increase its present
backlog.
Joe
Mezzafonte, VP of the audio
visual group commented with this additional work, the AV group
will be increasing the department’s personnel to meet the
demands of these new

Casey Systems with
its 40 years experience in the fire alarm industry has been
awarded the contract to provide the new Fire Alarm System for
the “New Stanhope”. The Stanhope is located on 995 Fifth
Avenue at the corner of 81st Street situated opposite the
Metropolitan Museum of Art and is being turned into luxury
homes. The “New Stanhope” will feature 123,000 square feet of
luxurious co-op property. It will consist of 26 full and half
floor new residences, with prices ranging from $10 million
with the Penthouse expected to sell for about $50
million.
The residences are
designed by architect John Simpson who is famous for adding to
Buckingham Palace. Mr. Simpson said to the New York
Observer that “In the early 20th century, New York was leading
the field in style and setting the tone for combining the
traditions and elegance of the past with a new modern way of
looking at things and it is actually doing that again which is
interesting—a rebirth again almost 100 years later.”

New South
Ferry Station Contract
Casey Systems is
pleased to announce that it has secured a new order for
approximately $2.5 million dollars to provide various
electronic systems at the new South Ferry Station for the New
York City Transit Authority in lower Manhattan. Casey will deliver
data communications, telephones, fire detection, public
address, customer variable message signage, CCTV, wireless access
points, radio systems, clocks, locking gate systems, fiber optics,
fire intrusion and hydrogen systems and uninterruptible power
supply. The securing of this order is the direct result of the
reorganization and remarketing approach of our transit group.

Ferry reconstruction project is finished, the project benefits will

Casey offers IP Network
Intercom solutions using the TOA Electronics N-8000
System
Casey Systems now offers
an IP Network Intercom solution with TOA Electronics the N-8000
series the 2006 NSCA Innovations Technology Security/Fire/Life
Safety Category award winner. This system offers flexible
communications for up to 1280 stations on existing corporate local
and wide area data networks.
Built on TOA’S proven
NX-1000 network audio technology, the new IP Intercom products
occupy minimal network bandwidth (130 kps maximum) for station to
station calls and can be controlled and monitored through software
or web browser. Programmable system functions include 160
paging zones, time-based call forwarding and scan
monitoring.
The backbone of the new
system is the compact N-8000EX Exchange which supports 16 stations
and occupies only one rack space. Features include a 10/100
BaseT port for connection to standard network hardware and two
paging audio outputs. Larger systems can be easily configured
with up to 80 exchanges and 1280 stations.
General Systems Features
Include:
- Exchanges, Multi
Interface Units and IP stations can be distributed over a data
communications network
- Can be connected to an
existing local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN). The
system can also be connected to fiber-optic networks without
restrictions on operating distance.
- System is configured
employing IP station makes communication possible without having
to use an exchange unit. (IP Door stations alone cannot be
configured in systems without incorporating an IP Master
station.)
- The web browser based
software enables centralized control and system maintenance to be
performed from a personal computer.
- The Multi Interface
unit can interlock with an electronic lock system or a CCTV
surveillance system by way of contact input/output control
function.

Multi-function Master Station, which has a built-in Ethernet
connection for direct network connection, a 32 character
alphanumeric LCD display, handset and speed dial functions.
- N-8540DS IP Indoor
Substation also connects directly to the network and includes a
vandal-resistant call-switch and control output for door
release.
- Q-N-8540WP Outdoor
Substation along with connecting directly to the network is
weather resistant with control output for door release.
